Telecommunications Regulation Approved Systems Ready To Work Remotely

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has declared that various technological and electronic systems are going to activate for the remote work system in the federal and local government and the private sector, and its work with various strategic partners from telecom operators and technology companies to support the work of employees remotely, within the framework of the operation.

This is the latest initiative of the UAE government’s activation of the “remote work” system for some categories of employees in the federal authorities. This is a two-week-long period for working it starts from Sunday, March 15 to March 26, 2020, and the provision of telecommunications service providers in the country to provide programs of interaction and meetings remotely, and to support the continuation of The flow of work and its efficiency in various bodies and sectors.

Telecom operating Companies:

The authority thanked the telecom operators working in the country (Etisalat and du) as they proved themselves positive partners in maintaining community safety, Microsoft (Thames application) and Zoom company (Zoom application) for their cooperation and making available the free remote interaction program to support distance learning and work initiatives during this period, and to facilitate smooth and efficient communication with audiovisual communication services.

The authority emphasized that the initiatives of telecom operators and their corporate partners support the work of government and private-sector employees in the country, enable them to hold their internal and external meetings, and at the same time enhance their visual and audible communication with their colleagues and partners.

Digital systems:

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority will also work in this regard to ensure the flow of digital systems during the employee’s work remotely, and to activate all mechanisms that ensure that all federal government employees enter the internal systems from outside their offices and perform their duties effectively, including human and financial resource systems Contracts and purchases.

In addition, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority will provide the necessary infrastructure services to facilitate remote work and ensure the security and speed of information, and by relying on the federal network, which is an effective and safe way that allows federal agencies to provide smart services around the clock in the country, and at the same time provide A shared infrastructure that allows all entities to access a range of resources such as networks, applications, storage, etc.

And the communication channels in the federal authorities and their smart services will remain open to the audience of customers who will be able to communicate with various of these authorities and end their transactions electronically, without the need to visit the service center.
